Dr. Waldyr Muniz

Dr. Waldyr Muniz is an Associate Staff Physician in the Integrated Hospital Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, bringing 14 years of clinical experience in anesthesiology. He trained at the University of São Paulo's Ribeirão Preto Medical School and completed specialized fellowship training in regional anesthesia at Hospital Sírio Libanês. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he worked as a Consultant Anesthesiologist in São Paulo, delivering anesthesia services across diverse surgical specialties including robotic, gynecological, urological, neurosurgical, plastic, ENT, and general surgery.

Dr. Muniz is dedicated to patient-centered anesthesia care with a focus on advanced techniques such as ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, difficult airway management, and acute pain management. At Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, he was active in the New Technologies Committee, leading quality improvement initiatives and managing performance indicators. He brings additional expertise in perioperative medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided vascular access.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Muniz holds an MBA in Healthcare Management and certifications in healthcare project management and administration, reflecting his commitment to safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based decision-making in perioperative care.
