Dr. Alok Azad Anand

Dr. Alok Azad Anand is Division Chair of Diagnostic Radiology & Imaging at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Diagnostics Institute. He brings 16 years of clinical and leadership experience to the role. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he served as Chairman of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and Chief Quality Officer at Eastern Connecticut Health Network in Connecticut, US. Dr. Anand completed rigorous training at leading academic medical centres: he earned his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine, completed residency in diagnostic radiology at Richmond University Medical Center (where he served as Chief Resident), and fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology at Long Island Jewish Hospital.

Dr. Anand specializes in a broad range of imaging services including abdominal imaging, cardiac imaging, neuroradiology, endocrine imaging, and nuclear cardiac imaging. He also performs percutaneous coronary interventions. Beyond clinical practice, he has a strong focus on medical and imaging informatics, holding a Certified Imaging Informatics Professional qualification from the American Board of Imaging Informatics.

Dr. Anand holds dual undergraduate degrees from Brown University and a Master's Degree in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Tufts University, reflecting his diverse educational background. He is fluent in Hindi, English, Urdu, Japanese, and French, and is an active member of the American College of Radiology and Radiological Society of North America.
