Dr. Maed Khalifeh Tamer

Dr. Maed Khalifeh Tamer is a surgeon with over 28 years of clinical experience, specializing in breast cancer, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, and advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. He trained at leading medical schools in Syria and the UK, including Imperial College London and the University of London, and holds membership in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He spent many years at one of Syria's largest teaching hospitals, where he trained younger surgeons and built specialist services in breast and endocrine surgery before relocating to the UAE in 2009.

Since joining Reem Hospital in Abu Dhabi 16 years ago, Dr. Maed has focused on complex surgical cases using minimally invasive techniques wherever possible. He treats breast cancers and benign breast conditions, thyroid nodules, and parathyroid disorders, often as part of a coordinated team approach.
