About Dr. Ahmed AlHammadi
Dr. Ahmed AlHammadi is a Staff Physician in the Infectious Disease Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He is also an adjunct assistant professor of internal medicine at the United Arab Emirates University. With 14 years of clinical experience, he has held leadership roles as Chair of Infection Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at multiple institutions, most recently at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City and Al Rahba Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Dr. AlHammadi specializes in treating infections in solid organ transplant recipients, stem cell transplant recipients, and cancer patients. He has extensive expertise in fungal infections, tuberculosis, drug-resistant bacterial infections, HIV, viral hepatitis, bone and joint infections, and skin infections. He led the transplant infectious disease clinic at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City and developed protocols for evaluating patients before and after kidney and liver transplants.
