Dr. Seema Sen is Head of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi, where she works as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. She has been a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists since 2002 and brings over 25 years of specialist experience in women's health. She trained in the United Kingdom through NHS hospitals in the North East of England, earning her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2008, and previously worked as a Consultant at County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust before relocating to the UAE.
Dr. Sen provides comprehensive care across obstetrics and gynaecology. She specializes in antenatal (pregnancy) care including management of diabetes in pregnancy, maternal medicine problems, general gynaecology including menstrual disorders and pelvic pain, menopause management, and adolescent and paediatric gynaecology. She also performs cervical smears and colposcopy (examination and treatment of the cervix).
She is fluent in English and brings a patient-centred approach informed by her extensive training and clinical experience.
