Dr. Mohamed Anwar Abdelsalam Mohamed

Dr. Mohamed Anwar Abdelsalam Mohamed is a critical care consultant with over 14 years of experience managing patients in intensive care units across the Middle East. He completed his medical degree (M.B.B.Ch.) in medicine and surgery from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, followed by a Master's degree in critical care medicine from the same institution. His training has encompassed work at leading teaching hospitals including Nasser Institute for Research and Treatment Hospital and Kasr Al Ainy Teaching Hospital in Egypt.

Before joining NMC Healthcare in Al Ain, Dr. Mohamed Anwar worked as an associate consultant of critical care medicine at King Saud Medical City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — one of the largest medical facilities in the Gulf region with approximately 150 ICU beds. He holds accreditation as a full instructor in the Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) course and has attended numerous national and international conferences to stay current with advances in his field.

At NMC Healthcare Al Ain, he serves as general supervisor of the Critical Care Unit. His clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of acute critical illness and emergency care, with particular interest in sepsis management, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). He is well-suited to patients requiring complex intensive care support and those with life-threatening conditions demanding expert specialist management.
