Dr. Amir Malik

Dr. Amir Malik is a Staff Physician in the Nephrology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Medical Specialty Institute. He trained extensively in the UK, completing specialist nephrology training (CCT Renal) from Edinburgh, Nottingham and London teaching hospitals in 2007, and was awarded a Doctor of Medicine degree by the University of Nottingham in 2010. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he worked as a Consultant Nephrologist at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, where he led governance initiatives to ensure patient safety and oversaw training of junior doctors.

Dr. Malik has more than 16 years of hands-on experience managing both acute and chronic kidney disorders, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatment. He manages patients across inpatient, outpatient and dialysis units, and his clinical work is supported by research that has been published in peer-reviewed journals. He holds membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, Edinburgh, 2000) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP, London).
