Dr. Ishrat Khan

Dr Ishrat Khan is a UK-trained Consultant Endocrinologist with formal certification in both Diabetes & Endocrinology and Internal Medicine. She has worked across seven major hospitals in Wales and England, building extensive expertise in managing complex hormonal and metabolic disorders. She now practises at Emirates Hospitals Group in Dubai, where she is committed to patient education and personalized care.

Dr Khan treats a wide range of endocrine conditions, including Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes (using insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors), pituitary and thyroid disorders, adrenal and reproductive hormone imbalances, and bone and calcium problems. She also manages pregnancy-related diabetes, obesity, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and investigates hormone-related infertility and resistant high blood pressure.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr Khan is passionate about teaching and research. She holds an honorary lectureship at the University of South Wales, supervises postgraduate research students, and has been a regular abstract reviewer for the Endocrine Society USA since 2015. She regularly teaches doctors preparing for specialist exams and has published multiple articles in diabetes and endocrinology journals.
