Dr. Alawi Alsheikh Ali

Dr. Alawi Alsheikh-Ali is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai. He completed all his medical training in the United States and served as an attending cardiologist at Tufts Medical Center in Boston before returning to the UAE. He holds American Board certification in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine.

Dr. Alsheikh-Ali's clinical practice focuses on the full spectrum of heart rhythm disorders. He performs catheter-based ablation procedures to treat irregular heartbeats, implants and manages pacemakers and defibrillators, and provides cardiac resynchronization therapy. He has particular expertise in inherited arrhythmia syndromes such as Brugada syndrome, Long-QT syndrome, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and ARVD (arrhythmogenic right ventricular disease).

He is fluent in English and Arabic and has authored numerous publications in leading international journals including the Lancet, Annals of Internal Medicine, and Circulation. His research and clinical work focus on electrophysiology, preventive heart health, and cardiovascular disease patterns in the Gulf region.
