Dr. Dhaval P. Darji

Dr. Dhaval P. Darji is a specialist in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Medcare Sharjah, with 8 years of clinical experience. He trained at M.P. Shah Medical College in Gujarat, India, followed by specialist paediatric training through the National Board in New Delhi. He holds advanced certifications in paediatric and neonatal resuscitation from the American Heart Institute.

Dr. Darji's practice focuses on critically ill children requiring intensive management. He is skilled in ventilation support, kidney dialysis, intubation, and placement of central and arterial lines. He manages complex conditions including heart rhythm problems, heart failure, severe pneumonia, kidney and liver failure, and respiratory distress. He has particular expertise in caring for children after organ transplants and managing paediatric trauma and head injuries. His experience spans long-term intensive care, asthma emergencies, and post-surgical recovery.

Dr. Darji has held leadership roles in paediatric ICUs at major hospitals in India, including the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai, before moving to the UAE where he was teaching faculty at Sharjah University Hospital and led the paediatric ICU at NMC Royal Hospital. He is an active member and speaker with the Dubai Paediatric Club and believes strongly in infection control, teamwork and quality-focused care for sick children.
