Dr. Reem Alhawas

Dr. Reem Alhawas is a Staff Physician in the Emergency Medicine Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, where she also serves as Program Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency. She brings 13 years of clinical experience across the United States, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. She trained at George Washington University in Washington DC and completed her medical degree at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Alhawas specializes in acute and critical care, with particular expertise in emergency ultrasound, severe trauma management, and sepsis. She has completed fellowship training in medical education and simulation, and she is certified as a healthcare simulation educator. Throughout her career, she has held academic roles including serving as an associate professor and adjunct associate professor, and has led simulation divisions and residency programs.

Known for her commitment to teaching and community health, Dr. Alhawas received two research grants for community outreach programs during her training.
