Dr. Krish Venkatesh

Dr. Krish Venkatesh is a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with over 20 years of medical experience. He graduated from Karnataka Medical College in Hubli, India, and completed his postgraduate paediatrics degree (MD) from Mysore Medical College. He then trained in the United Kingdom in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, serving as a Consultant at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool, where he held leadership roles including Chief of the Paediatric Gastroenterology Department and Lead for Endoscopy and Nutrition.

Dr. Venkatesh treats a broad range of digestive and liver conditions in children, including reflux disease, food-related inflammation of the oesophagus and stomach, coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, functional stomach pain, and nutritional and liver disorders. He performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures, including gastroscopy (camera examination of the stomach), ileocolonoscopy (examination of the small and large bowel), PEG tube insertion for feeding support, and removal of swallowed foreign objects. He has authored several first-author papers and book chapters and regularly presents research at national and international conferences.
