Dr. Nigel Beejay

Dr. Nigel Beejay is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with over 25 years of clinical experience. He trained at King's College, Cambridge University for his medical degree, then completed postgraduate studies in London, Boston University, and the University of Toronto. Beyond gastroenterology, he holds advanced qualifications in Biomedical Informatics and Medical Hypnosis, bringing a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. He is based at Emirates Hospital Day Surgery in Abu Dhabi and maintains an affiliation with Harley Street, London.

Dr. Beejay specializes in both upper and lower endoscopy, capsule endoscopy for small-bowel imaging, and advanced procedures including intragastric balloon placement for obesity management. He treats a wide range of digestive conditions—from irritable bowel syndrome and food intolerances to fatty liver disease, Barrett's esophagus, and celiac disease.
