Dr. Abubaker Al-Madani (ID*)

Dr. Abubaker Al-Madani is a Consultant Neurologist at Rashid Hospital, where he has worked since 2009. He holds fellowship certification (FRCPC) from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and completed his neurology residency and a fellowship in neuromuscular disease at the University of Toronto. Since joining Rashid, he has been instrumental in developing the hospital's stroke programme and expanding the neurology department overall.

Dr. Al-Madani's clinical expertise spans neuromuscular conditions, stroke management, headache disorders, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, and epilepsy. He has led research into multiple sclerosis, autoimmune neurological diseases, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (motor neuron disease), frontotemporal dementia, and the risk of blood clots in ALS patients. His work combines direct patient care with active involvement in teaching and training the next generation of neurologists through the hospital's residency programme.
