Dr. Kaiser Raja

Dr. Kaiser Raja is a senior consultant specializing in diseases of the liver and gastrointestinal tract. He trained in medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India, followed by an advanced fellowship in liver diseases and transplant hepatology from Mount Sinai Medical Centre in New York. With more than 20 years of experience in India, the Middle East and North America, he now runs a dedicated liver clinic at King's College Hospital Dubai.

Dr. Raja manages a broad range of liver conditions including cirrhosis, hepatitis B and C, fatty liver disease, autoimmune hepatitis, and cholestatic disorders. He has particular expertise in treating fatty liver linked to obesity and diabetes using weight-loss techniques and medications like GLP-1 agonists. He also treats liver, biliary and pancreatic cancers, coordinating multidisciplinary care with surgeons and oncologists. In gastroenterology, his focus includes acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), and advanced endoscopic procedures. He has managed over 1,000 liver transplant patients and specializes in both pre-transplant evaluation and long-term post-transplant care.

Dr. Raja is a member of prestigious international hepatology, gastroenterology and liver transplant societies, regularly presenting at academic conferences. He believes in involving patients in shared decision-making and providing care grounded in best available evidence and compassionate communication.
