Dr. Galina Scerbacova

Dr. Galina Scerbacova is a specialist paediatrician at Medcare Medical Centre with 34 years of clinical experience. She trained in general medicine and neonatology at Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Moldova, earning her MBBS and MD in Clinical Neonatology. Early in her career, she worked as a consultant neonatologist providing emergency care for newborns and managing a neonatal intensive care unit at Prenatal Center Level III in Chisinau, as well as teaching at the university. She later gained further experience at specialist paediatric clinics in Dubai before joining Medcare.

Dr. Scerbacova has successfully managed a wide range of childhood conditions including anaemia, infectious diseases, respiratory tract infections, gastroenteritis, febrile seizures, asthma, eczema, urinary tract infections, and neonatal jaundice. She has particular expertise with premature babies, newborns with serious illness or congenital conditions, and low birth weight infants. She is skilled in performing ultrasound scans of the abdomen, hips, brain and thyroid with Doppler imaging. Her approach emphasises patience, compassion and clear communication with families.

Dr. Scerbacova has received multiple awards recognizing her work, including Best Paediatrician of the Year from Family & Kids Magazine and Best Family Specialist at The Best Mom Awards in Dubai. She is a member of the Prenatal Medicine Association of Romania, the Paediatrics Association of Russia, and the Paediatric Club Dubai. She speaks English, Romanian, Ukrainian and Russian fluently.
