Prof. Abdulla Shehab

Professor Abdulla Shehab is a cardiologist with 25 years of experience in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, and medical education. He is based at Mediclinic Al Ain and holds multiple prestigious international fellowships, including from the Royal College of Physicians (UK), American College of Physicians, European Society of Cardiology, American College of Cardiology, American Society of Cardiac Intervention, and American Heart Association.

Professor Shehab treats a broad range of heart conditions including heart failure, coronary artery disease (blocked arteries), high cholesterol, high blood pressure, irregular heartbeats, and cardiovascular disease in pregnancy. He performs cardiac interventions and advanced imaging to diagnose and treat these conditions. He also specializes in screening athletes for heart disease to prevent sudden cardiac events during sport.

He is recognized for excellence in teaching and research, holding awards for Best Service, Best Teaching, and Best Clinical Research from the United Arab Emirates University.
