Dr. Mohamed Riaz Dharsey

Dr. Mohamed Riaz Dharsey is a Staff Physician in the Emergency Medicine Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. He brings two decades of experience in emergency care, having previously worked as a consultant in the Emergency Department at Johns Hopkins Aramco Hospital in Saudi Arabia, where he also served as Patient Safety Officer. Before moving to the Middle East, he was Head of the Emergency Department at Natalspruit Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Dr. Dharsey trained at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, completing both his medical degree and residency there, followed by a fellowship with the College of Emergency Medicine South Africa. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about teaching and has actively mentored residents in emergency medicine programs, earning recognition as Teacher of the Year in his residency program.
