Dr. Alka Batar

Dr. Alka Batar is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at LLH Hospital Abu Dhabi with 10 years of clinical experience. She completed her undergraduate training at S. P. Medical College, Bikaner and earned her master's degree (MS) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur, India in 2015. She holds a fellowship in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery from AMASI, India. Before relocating to the UAE in 2023, she worked at tertiary care hospitals in India, gaining extensive experience in complex pregnancy care and teaching, including a role as consultant at SMS Medical College and Hospital, Jaipur.

Dr. Alka specialises in high-risk pregnancy management, including care of twin pregnancies, anaemia in pregnancy, thyroid disorders, and hypertensive complications. She performs a range of procedures including normal and assisted vaginal delivery, caesarean surgery, keyhole gynaecological procedures, and hysteroscopy (inspection of the uterine cavity). She also provides contraception counselling and insertion of implants and IUDs, infertility investigation, and cervical cancer screening.

Her particular interests are in managing high-risk pregnancies and infertility. She has published over 10 scientific papers in national and international journals on topics ranging from pregnancy complications to surgical outcomes.
