Dr. Ainad Ghandir

Dr. Ainad Ghandir is a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist with extensive training across three countries. She completed her initial gastroenterology training at Algiers University in Algeria, then pursued specialised hepatology and liver transplantation training at Paris Diderot University in France, where she gained clinical experience at Henri Mondor Hospital.

Dr. Ghandir has broad expertise in liver diseases—including fatty liver, cirrhosis, viral and autoimmune conditions—as well as pancreatic disorders and inflammatory bowel disease. She is skilled in advanced diagnostic techniques including fibroscan (ultrasound elastography) and manometry, and performs gastrointestinal endoscopy. Her clinical work has included managing complex transplant patients; she published pioneering research on chronic rejection after liver transplant that received recognition at international congresses.

Before joining Mediclinic, she led the endoscopic unit at a 240-bed hospital in Algeria, overseeing both outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology and hepatology care. Dr. Ghandir is a member of both the Algerian and French societies of gastroenterology, bringing an international perspective to patient care.
