Dr. Amit Jain is a Staff Physician in the Emergency Medicine Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. With 23 years of experience, he trained in anesthesia and intensive care at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India, and completed an international fellowship in transplant, cardiac, and obstetric anesthesia at Central Manchester NHS University Hospitals in the UK (2013–2014). Before joining Cleveland Clinic, he worked as a Consultant Anesthetist at a 600-bed hospital in Jaipur and served as an Assistant Professor at his training institute.
Dr. Jain specializes in perioperative medicine—managing anesthesia and pain before, during, and after surgery. His clinical expertise spans airway management (including difficult airway techniques), cardiac anesthesia, anesthesia for organ transplants, pediatric anesthesia, and neuroanaesthesia. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles on perioperative management and cardiac and neurological issues, and was awarded first prize in 2016 for his research on airway management techniques.
He is an experienced teacher who previously trained postgraduate and undergraduate doctors, nursing students, and operating room technicians. He serves as a journal reviewer for several international medical publications. Dr. Jain is fluent in Hindi and English.
