Dr. Mazhar Hamja Dalvi

Dr. Mazhar Hamja Dalvi is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Mediclinic Abu Dhabi with extensive training in diabetes and endocrine diseases. He graduated from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, India, in 2006 and initially worked in the UAE. In 2013, he undertook advanced training at Edinburgh Centre of Endocrinology, a recognised centre of excellence in the UK, where he was awarded his Fellowship in Endocrinology and Diabetes from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.

Dr. Dalvi manages a broad spectrum of endocrine conditions, from common diabetes types (including gestational diabetes and rare forms like MODY and LADA) to thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer follow-up. He also treats adrenal and pituitary disorders, vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis, and reproductive endocrine issues such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), hypogonadism, and testosterone deficiency. He is trained in modern diabetes therapies including insulin pump management and structured education programmes.

His clinical focus spans weight management from an endocrine perspective, kidney complications of diabetes, and complex hormonal imbalances. Dr. Dalvi has contributed to peer-reviewed medical literature and remains engaged with current evidence in his field.
