Dr. Sana Karkar

Dr. Sana Karkar is a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology trained at Beirut Arab University in Lebanon, where she completed her MBBS and specialist qualification. She brings over ten years of clinical experience, initially in private practice in Lebanon before moving to the Gulf region as a full-time consultant at Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group in Riyadh. She is now based at American Hospital Dubai, where she continues to care for women across all stages of life.

Dr. Karkar offers comprehensive maternity and gynaecological care, including routine antenatal, prenatal, and postnatal support. She has particular expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies, supervising labour (vaginal delivery, VBAC, and caesarean section), and investigating and treating infertility using various stimulation protocols. She also performs diagnostic procedures such as hysteroscopy, D&C, and endometrial biopsy, and screens for cervical and breast cancer. Additional training in ultrasound, foetal echocardiography, and doppler techniques strengthens her diagnostic capability. She has recently completed a fellowship in aesthetic gynaecology (both surgical and non-surgical) accredited by the American Aesthetic Association.

Dr. Karkar is dedicated to addressing the individual healthcare needs of women, from routine gynaecological exams and family planning to management of complex conditions such as recurrent miscarriage, preterm labour, menstrual disorders, polycystic ovaries, and hormonal imbalances.
