Dr. Wisam Elayan

Dr. Wisam Elayan is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based at Emirates Hospitals Group in Dubai, with training and practice experience across Germany and the UAE. He graduated from the University of Göttingen and holds certification from the German Board of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery. Before joining Emirates Hospitals, he worked as an attending orthopaedic and trauma surgeon at his training hospital and later as a Consultant at an academic hospital affiliated with the University of Munster until 2018.

Dr. Elayan treats a wide range of orthopaedic conditions, from acute sports injuries and traumatic fractures to chronic joint problems requiring surgery. He performs knee arthroscopy, knee and hip replacements, cruciate ligament reconstruction, and manages complex cases including poly-trauma, geriatric fractures, and revision surgical complications. He also provides conservative (non-surgical) management for patients who may benefit from it, and has experience with paediatric trauma cases.

He is known for taking time to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly to his patients. Dr. Elayan is fluent in English, Arabic, and German, making him accessible to diverse patient populations across Dubai.
