Dr. Eric Francois

Dr. Eric Francois is a Staff Physician in the Pain Medicine Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Neurological Institute. He brings nearly three decades of clinical experience, having trained in anesthesiology in Belgium and developed expertise across pain management disciplines. Before relocating to Abu Dhabi, he worked as a Consultant Anesthesiologist and Pain Specialist at Saint-Elisabeth Hospital in Namur, Belgium, where he led the Pain Department and played a key role in establishing one of Belgium's Pain Centers of Excellence.

Dr. Francois specializes in interventional pain management techniques to treat chronic and complex pain conditions. His clinical focus includes back pain, neck pain, neuropathic pain (nerve-related pain), headaches, facial pain, and complex regional pain syndrome. He is certified in interventional pain procedures by the World Institute of Pain (2015) and offers treatments including minimally invasive injections, nerve blocks, and Botox for chronic migraine. Since joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he has been instrumental in developing the hospital's Interventional Pain Management Centre.
