Prof. Essam ElToukhy

Professor Essam ElToukhy is a consultant ophthalmologist with 30 years of experience in oculoplasty, cosmetic and reconstructive eye surgery. He trained at leading institutions in the US, Canada, Egypt and Kuwait before joining Burjeel Hospital Abu Dhabi. He has performed over 15,000 oculoplastic procedures throughout his career and maintains an active oculoplasty practice in Cairo, Egypt.

Prof. ElToukhy specialises in eyelid surgery (including drooping eyelids and spasm), eye muscle surgery to correct crossed eyes, orbital (socket) surgery, and complex eye reconstruction.
