Dr. Rfaat Bitar

Dr. Rfaat Bitar is a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery at Medcare Medical Centre in Dubai. He trained at Aleppo University Medical College in Syria and holds a Syrian Board Certificate in Orthopaedic Surgery. With over a decade of experience working across Syria and the UAE, he has practised at multiple hospitals under the Syrian Ministry of Health and at Relief International Hospitals, an NGO serving communities affected by conflict and disaster.

Dr. Bitar treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. He performs hip and knee replacements, repairs upper and lower limb fractures, and manages tendon and ligament injuries. He also addresses sports injuries (shoulder and knee), arthritis affecting the shoulder, elbow and wrist, and common problems like carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, heel spurs, and back or neck pain. To ease pain and reduce inflammation, he administers injections directly into joints using PRP (platelet-rich plasma), steroids, and hyaluronic acid. He has experience treating children, including fractures, developmental hip dysplasia, and foot abnormalities.
