Prof. K. Ray Chaudhuri

Professor K. Ray Chaudhuri is a Consultant Neurologist and Director of Research & Academia at King's College Hospital London Dubai, bringing over 30 years of specialist experience. He is a Professor of Neurology and Movement Disorders at King's College London and was Medical Director of the Parkinson Foundation International Centre of Excellence at King's College. He is internationally recognised for pioneering modern approaches to Parkinson's care, particularly in advanced therapies and non-motor symptoms (symptoms beyond tremor and stiffness, such as sleep problems, mood changes, and pain).

Professor Chaudhuri treats Parkinson's disease, restless legs syndrome, dystonia, and other movement disorders. He has authored over 550 peer-reviewed papers and co-edited five books on Parkinson's disease and restless legs syndrome. He is founding and former editor-in-chief of Nature Parkinson's journal (Impact Factor 8.8) and serves as consulting editor for the Journal of Personalised Medicine. In 2024, an independent international review rated him first globally for publications on non-motor aspects of Parkinson's since 2013, and he is currently ranked fourth worldwide for Parkinson's expertise overall.
