Dr. John-Paul Carpenter

Dr. John-Paul Carpenter is a Consultant Cardiologist at HealthPoint in Abu Dhabi, joining the hospital in April 2023. He holds the MBBS degree from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London, and earned a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience from the University of London before completing a higher research degree in cardiovascular medicine from Imperial College London. He is board-certified and recognised as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, the European Society of Cardiology, and the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance.

Dr. Carpenter has extensive expertise in non-invasive cardiac imaging and diagnostics. His clinical skills include cardiac CT (computed tomography), cardiac MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and other non-invasive heart tests such as exercise stress testing and Holter monitoring. He holds European (EACVI) Level 3 certification in Cardiac CT and dual-certified Level 3 credentials in Cardiac MRI (both EACVI and US SCMR standards).
