Dr. Abhay Joshi

Dr. Abhay Joshi is a UK Board Certified Consultant Rheumatologist at Burjeel Day Surgery Center in Abu Dhabi with over 20 years of clinical experience. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical degrees at premier institutions in Mumbai, India, followed by a Clinical Research Fellowship and a four-year Rheumatology Residency in the United Kingdom. Before relocating to Abu Dhabi in 2016, he spent more than a decade working as a Consultant Rheumatologist at Hereford County Hospital in the UK, where he led the osteoporosis service and trained junior specialists.

Dr. Joshi manages the full range of rheumatologic conditions, with particular expertise in inflammatory arthritis (including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis), crystal-related arthritis such as gout, osteoarthritis, connective tissue diseases including Sjögren's syndrome, vasculitis, osteoporosis, and soft tissue rheumatism. He has presented his work at international rheumatology conferences and has published research in medical journals. In recognition of his contributions to patient care, he received the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society Healthcare Champion Award in 2011.

Fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi, Dr. Joshi is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and brings both substantial clinical expertise and a teaching background to his practice.
