Dr. Rajesh Nambiar

Dr. Rajesh Nambiar is a gastrointestinal surgeon with 15 years of clinical experience, currently leading a GI surgical unit at Mediclinic. He has spent the last 12 years managing complex gastrointestinal cases across multiple institutions, building expertise in both routine and emergency surgical care.

Dr. Nambiar specializes in advanced laparoscopic and robotic gastrointestinal surgery. He performs a wide range of procedures including colorectal surgery, upper GI operations, liver resections for cancer, pancreatic surgery (including Whipple's procedure for pancreatic cancer and chronic pancreatitis treatment), and liver transplantation. He also manages acute surgical emergencies such as peritonitis, abdominal trauma, gastrointestinal bleeding, and severe pancreatitis. His practice extends to helping colleagues in gynaecology, urology and general surgery manage complex gastrointestinal complications.

Dr. Nambiar is a member of the Emirates Colorectal Society. He is fluent in English, Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil, and brings a patient-centered approach to complex surgical decision-making.
