Dr. Tasneem A. Motiwala

Tasneem A. Motiwala is a speech and language pathologist in the ENT Department at Medcare Hospital Sharjah. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities in Mumbai, India, and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Topiwala National Medical College & B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital. Early in her career, she worked as a speech-language and swallowing pathologist at multiple clinics and hospitals in Mumbai, and later served as an Assistant Professor at Topiwala National Medical College before relocating to the UAE.

Ms. Motiwala specializes in assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders across all ages. Her clinical expertise includes delayed speech and language development (especially related to hearing loss), language disorders in autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, cleft lip and palate, ADHD, learning disabilities, and genetic syndromes. She also treats speech sound disorders, voice disorders, stuttering, adult language disorders (aphasia), dementia-related communication changes, dysarthria, and apraxia of speech. She has extensive experience in pediatric and adult feeding and swallowing disorders, and provides specialized rehabilitation for people undergoing head and neck cancer treatment, including post-laryngectomy (voice box removal) rehabilitation.
