Dr. Bhavna Khan

Dr. Bhavna Khan is a Consultant Rheumatologist with over 20 years of clinical experience in diagnosing and managing complex rheumatological conditions. She trained at leading UK institutions including the University of Manchester Rheumatic Diseases Centre and Salford Royal Hospitals, where she specialized in rheumatology. She earned her medical degree in India and completed postgraduate training in Internal Medicine in the UK. Dr. Khan secured Wellcome Trust funding for research on arthritic pain mechanisms and holds a PhD from the University of Manchester.

Since relocating to Dubai in 2009, Dr. Khan has worked at major hospitals including American Hospital, Mediclinic, and Burjeel. She treats a broad range of conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus (SLE), psoriatic arthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, Sjögren's syndrome, vasculitis, and scleroderma. She is particularly skilled in using ultrasound and MRI imaging to diagnose and monitor inflammatory joint diseases, and has led international training workshops in rheumatology imaging.
