Dr. Muhammad Faisal Khattak

Dr. Muhammad Faisal Khattak is a consultant paediatric dentist at Mediclinic Al Ain with over two decades of experience in children's dental care. After graduating from Khyber Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan, he completed postgraduate training in the United States, including a residency in paediatric dentistry at the University of Minnesota, where he earned a Master of Science degree in 2000. He achieved board certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2007 and spent time as an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota before relocating to the Middle East.

Dr. Khattak has extensive experience treating children with severe dental diseases and complex dental problems. He is particularly skilled in managing anxious and fearful children, using sedation techniques including nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and general anaesthesia in hospital settings. His practice focuses on children under 6 years old who require specialist care and anxiety management during dental treatment.

Throughout his career, Dr. Khattak has held leadership roles including head of the paediatric dentistry division at Tawam Hospital Dental Center, where he was promoted to consultant level. He has been actively involved in healthcare quality initiatives, leading accreditation surveys and helping develop licensing examination standards for paediatric dentistry in Abu Dhabi. He mentors dental trainees and brings both clinical expertise and healthcare administration knowledge to his practice.
