Dr. Elie A. Zoghbi

Dr. Elie A. Zoghbi is a senior cardiologist with nearly 20 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine. He has been practising cardiology in Abu Dhabi since 2008, bringing extensive expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart and blood vessel diseases. He is a graduate of the American University of Beirut's Faculty of Medicine, where he completed internal medicine residency (earning the Best Resident Award in 2002) and a three-year cardiology fellowship. He also completed clinical training at Ealing Hospital in England, affiliated with Imperial College London University.

Dr. Zoghbi offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services including echocardiography (ultrasound of the heart), stress tests, cardiac CT imaging, and continuous heart rhythm monitoring. He manages a wide range of conditions: high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, heart failure, valve disease, high cholesterol, and coronary artery disease. He interprets heart catheterisation results and guides decisions about angioplasty or medication-based treatment. He also provides pre-operative cardiac evaluation before non-cardiac surgeries and occupational health screening for executives.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Zoghbi founded and led the Cardiology Department at a private healthcare institution for 18 years. He served as medical director, chaired the Continuing Medical Education Committee, and was a member of the Ethics Committee, playing a key role in maintaining clinical standards and governance. He is an approved aeromedical examiner for the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority since 2009, with a special interest in aviation cardiology.
