Dr. Bernard Nasr

Dr. Bernard Nasr is a consultant in fetal and maternal medicine practising at Mediclinic Abu Dhabi. He graduated with an OB/GYN degree from Lebanese University in 2004, then completed five years of postgraduate training and a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine and fetal surgery at leading teaching hospitals in France (Poissy Sant Germain En Laye and Necker Enfants Malades). He holds a Master's degree in Maternal Fetal Medicine from the University of Barcelona, plus specialist diplomas in obstetric ultrasound, high-risk pregnancy management, and fetal medicine from French universities.

Dr. Nasr specialises in detailed fetal ultrasound scanning for diagnosis and management of birth defects, with particular expertise in fetal heart problems, brain development disorders, and blood-flow assessment using Doppler imaging. He is trained in advanced fetal therapies including intrauterine blood transfusions for fetal anaemia, bladder shunting, fluid drainage procedures, and laser treatment for complications in twin pregnancies. He has extensive experience managing growth restriction in the womb, rhesus disease in pregnancy, and other complex prenatal conditions.

With 12 years of consultant-level practice in Beirut before joining Mediclinic, Dr. Nasr has published 15 peer-reviewed articles and regularly presents at international conferences. He also holds an executive Master's degree in health and hospital management.
