Dr. Amer Andrabi

Dr. Amer Andrabi is an Associate Staff Physician in the General Surgery Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Digestive Disease Institute. He brings 27 years of clinical experience, including seven years as a specialty doctor in General and Vascular Surgery at Royal Derby Hospital in the United Kingdom. Throughout his career, he has held senior positions including Head of Department of Surgery, Senior Consultant Surgeon, and Assistant Professor.

Dr. Andrabi specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopic and bariatric surgery for weight management and metabolic conditions. He has particular expertise in hernia repair, upper gastrointestinal surgery, and obesity treatment. His training spans multiple prestigious institutions across Europe and North America, with fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland), the College of Physicians & Surgeons (Pakistan), and the American College of Surgeons.
