Dr. Aparna Gumma

Dr. Aparna Gumma is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with extensive expertise in high-risk obstetrics, labour ward management, and minimally invasive gynaecological procedures. She completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the West Midlands, UK, and was a gold medallist in her MD from India. She currently practises at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital in Dubai, and previously served as Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King's College Hospital in Dubai Hills.

Dr. Aparna specialises in keyhole gynaecological surgeries including hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, colposcopy, menopause management, and cosmetic and functional gynaecology. She also has expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies and diabetic pregnancy, and provides care across general, paediatric, and adolescent gynaecology. Her approach combines clinical excellence with individualised, compassionate patient care.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Aparna is deeply committed to medical education and healthcare leadership. She was appointed Director of the OBGYN Residency Training Programme by the Dubai Health Authority in 2023, and serves as Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Gulf Medical University. In the UK, she was Director of Postgraduate and Undergraduate Training at Cardiff Medical University and Maternal Medicine Lead at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. She is an active researcher, principal investigator in clinical trials, and invited speaker at international conferences.
