Dr. Marianna Velissariou

Dr. Marianna Velissariou is a specialist pediatric dentist with more than 10 years of clinical experience caring for children from infancy through adolescence. She trained in Hungary, earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Debrecen, then completed a Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry at the European University College in the UAE. She has worked across several leading dental practices in the Emirates, most recently as a specialist at Mediclinic City Hospital.

Dr. Marianna treats the full range of pediatric dental needs, from routine check-ups and cavity prevention to complex cases requiring sedation or general anesthesia. She manages tooth decay in baby and young permanent teeth, extracts teeth when necessary, performs root canal treatment on primary teeth, fits dental crowns, and corrects bite problems with space maintainers and removable braces. She is particularly skilled at working with anxious or nervous children, using nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and general anesthesia to help them receive the care they need.

Dr. Marianna is passionate about establishing lifelong healthy habits in her young patients and believes good oral health is central to overall wellbeing. She is committed to serving children with special needs and has volunteered with the Special Smiles Healthy Athletes Team at the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi and conducted oral health education in schools for children with disabilities.
