Dr. David Curran

Dr David Curran is a UK-trained consultant physician with 15 years of clinical experience in the UK, now practising at Mediclinic. He holds a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in geriatrics and internal medicine, with specialist expertise in stroke care. His training included a dedicated stroke fellowship at Leicester Royal Infirmary (2015–2016) focusing on hyper-acute stroke management and rehabilitation.

Dr Curran's practice covers the full spectrum of geriatric care—managing falls, orthopaedic complications in older patients, stroke prevention and recovery, rehabilitation, and community-based care. He has led stroke services clinically and is involved in research and service improvement. He also trained in tropical medicine and worked with tuberculosis programmes in Pakistan (2009–2011), broadening his experience in complex, resource-limited settings.

He believes in evidence-based, holistic care delivered in partnership with patients and families, guided by individual preference and international guidelines. His approach centres on care, compassion and clinical excellence.
