Dr. Inmaculada Cerecedo

Dr. Inmaculada Cerecedo is a Staff Physician in the Allergy & Immunology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. She trained in Spain and the United States, completing her medical degree at Universidad de Cantabria in Santander and specialist training in allergology at Hospital Universitario Ramon y Cajal in Madrid. She also completed a fellowship at The Jaffe Food Allergy Institute at Mount Sinai in New York, one of the world's leading centers for food allergy research and treatment.

Dr. Cerecedo has spent her career focused on food allergies, initially researching epitope mapping — a technique to understand allergen structure and predict which patients will develop tolerance to their allergens. Her work has also examined the quality-of-life impact of food allergies on patients and families. She is currently investigating early prevention and management strategies for food allergies in babies and children, aiming to improve outcomes and reduce the burden on families.
