Dr. Mohammed Halawani

Dr. Mohammed Halawani is a consultant neurosurgeon and spine surgeon with over 20 years of clinical and academic experience. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and completed advanced training at the University of Ottawa and University of Calgary. His career includes significant leadership roles, serving as Chairman of Spine Surgery at King Fahad Medical City and Head of Neurosurgery and Spine Divisions at multiple prestigious hospitals in Saudi Arabia. He was instrumental in establishing the Johns Hopkins National Guard Epilepsy Surgery Program and co-founded the Arab Spine Association, reflecting his commitment to advancing neurosurgical care across the region.

Dr. Halawani has performed more than 3,000 complex surgeries and is recognized as a regional authority in minimally invasive spine techniques and spinal tumors (including cancer-related spine surgery). His clinical expertise spans brain tumor removal, epilepsy surgery, complex spine procedures, spinal cord tumors, disc surgery, cervical spine surgery, and spinal fracture repair. He combines surgical innovation with a strong focus on education and research, having contributed as an author to multiple neurosurgery textbooks and published peer-reviewed work on surgical techniques and patient outcomes.
