Dr Vahid Ghobadi Dana is a Specialist Paediatrician and Allergist–Clinical Immunologist with over 15 years of clinical, academic and research experience. He trained at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where he later became an Assistant Professor. In 2012, he co-founded Iran's first academic and comprehensive allergy clinic, which has cared for more than 50,000 patients. He ranked first nationally in the 2015 entrance examination for the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Fellowship Programme and completed his training at Rasul Akram Hospital, ranking second in the national board certification.
Dr Vahid specialises in diagnosing and treating allergies and immune disorders in both children and adults. He manages a wide range of conditions including asthma, food and drug allergies, eczema, hives (urticaria), angioedema, anaphylaxis, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, and primary immunodeficiency. He performs allergen immunotherapy (allergy shots) and oral immunotherapy for food allergies. His research focuses on drug reactions, food allergy treatment, asthma epidemiology, and immune regulation.
Dr Vahid has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and maintains active memberships with the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (since 2010), the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (since 2016), and the Gulf Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Since 2023, he has led the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Clinic at the Iranian Hospital in Dubai.
Special interests: drug hypersensitivity reactions, oral immunotherapy in food allergy, asthma and allergic rhinitis epidemiology, molecular mechanisms of immune regulation, COVID-19 pathophysiology.
