Dr. Ahmad Al Shoum

Dr. Ahmad Al Shoum is a Consultant paediatrician at Mediclinic Abu Dhabi, where he has worked since 2009. He graduated with his medical degree from the University of Damascus in Syria in 2000 and earned certification from the Arab Board of Medical Specialization in Paediatrics in 2005. With over 15 years of clinical experience, he has developed broad expertise across paediatric and neonatal care.

Dr. Ahmad treats children across the full spectrum of paediatric conditions, from routine growth and development concerns to complex acute cases. He has particular expertise in childhood asthma, infectious paediatric diseases, and neonatal care, including managing critically ill newborns in neonatal intensive care units (NICU). He regularly sees patients in both emergency settings and routine clinic appointments, allowing him to manage everything from acute illnesses to long-term developmental monitoring.
