Dr. Nikhil Gupta

Dr. Nikhil Gupta is an Indian board-certified gastroenterologist and hepatologist practising in Abu Dhabi with over 10 years of clinical experience, including more than 5 years focused exclusively on gastroenterology and hepatology. He trained at King George Medical University in Lucknow and MLN Medical College in Prayagraj, India, where he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology. He is skilled in both routine and complex digestive conditions, and has performed over 10,000 endoscopic procedures throughout his career.

Dr. Nikhil specialises in treating inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastrointestinal cancers, liver cirrhosis, and hepatitis. He has advanced expertise in therapeutic endoscopy techniques including ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), EUS (endoscopic ultrasound), and endoscopic resection—minimally invasive approaches that reduce recovery time and complications. He is known for precision in colonoscopy screening and diagnostic procedures.

He takes a patient-centered approach, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to tailor care to individual needs. He is actively involved in continuing education, research, and community health initiatives. Before joining NMC Healthcare, Dr. Nikhil was associated with LLH Hospital Abu Dhabi (Burjeel Holdings), where he received the WOW Award for best practice.
