Dr. Rosario Papa

Dr. Rosario Papa is a consultant neuroradiologist with expertise in both diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures. He graduated from the University of Catania in Italy in 2002 with a degree in radiology, and has since trained and worked across Italy and France, building extensive experience in specialized brain and spine imaging and treatment.

He specializes in minimally invasive endovascular procedures—techniques performed through blood vessels to treat conditions without open surgery. His key areas include treatment of brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformias (abnormal blood vessel tangles), dural fistulas (abnormal connections between blood vessels in the brain's covering), and mechanical thrombectomy (clot removal during acute stroke). He is also experienced with advanced imaging including CT and MRI scans of the brain and spine, carotid artery imaging, and angiography (detailed imaging of blood vessels).

Dr. Papa previously worked as a consultant at Policlinic Hospital in Messina, Italy, one of the country's leading stroke treatment centers. He brings a background in managing complex neuroradiological conditions and is comfortable with both diagnostic and interventional work.
