Dr. Alexandra Broadhead

Dr. Alexandra Broadhead is a British family medicine consultant with over 18 years of clinical experience. She trained at Kings College London (Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals), earning both her MBBS and a BSc in Anatomy and Basic Medical Sciences. After early career roles in paediatrics, gynaecology, and ear, nose and throat at leading UK hospitals, she has focused on family medicine for the last 13 years. Since 2017 she has been a Senior Family Medicine Consultant and co-owner at one of the largest practices in south England, serving a diverse population including university communities.

Dr. Broadhead manages both acute conditions—coughs, fevers, sore throats, headaches, and abdominal pain—and chronic diseases including high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome, asthma, and high cholesterol. She also offers health screening, nutritional and lifestyle advice, women's health care (periods, menopause), child and adolescent health, mental health support, and treatment of skin conditions and ear, nose and throat problems. She is particularly skilled in early detection and preventive care, believing that many conditions are better managed when caught early through active health monitoring.

As a Type 1 diabetic herself, Dr. Broadhead brings first-hand experience of endocrine conditions and their management alongside other medical issues. She champions a holistic approach, recognising that many conditions are linked. She has also trained new family medicine doctors and holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education, keeping her at the forefront of new techniques and research.
