Dr. Amira Mahmoud Abdalla

Dr. Amira Abdalla is a Haematopathology Consultant and Chief of the Haematology Section at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, where she also serves as Quality Lead in the Medical Laboratory Department. With over 35 years of experience in laboratory management and haematopathology, she has built a career focused on clinical excellence and quality assurance in diagnostic medicine.

Dr. Abdalla specializes in blood disorders and laboratory diagnosis. Her key skills include bone marrow reporting, flow cytometry analysis, coagulation testing, haemoglobin analysis, and platelet aggregation studies. She is experienced in both clinical pathology and chemical pathology, bringing expertise in operational management and strategic planning to her laboratory leadership role.

She trained at Cairo University's Faculty of Medicine, where she earned her bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery, master's degree, and doctorate in clinical and chemical pathology. Before joining SSMC, she served as acting chair of the Pathology and Medical Laboratory Department at Mafraq Hospital in the UAE. Dr. Abdalla is committed to fostering team-based patient care and maintaining the highest standards of laboratory quality.
