Dr. Mohamad Ayman Haykal

Dr. Mohamad Ayman Haykal is a Staff Physician in the Neurology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Neurological Institute. He brings over 20 years of clinical experience, with particular expertise in complex epilepsy cases. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he served as Medical Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Beaumont Health in Michigan and held academic appointments as Assistant Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.

Dr. Haykal specializes in the evaluation and treatment of refractory (drug-resistant) epilepsy, including advanced techniques such as intracranial monitoring to map brain activity, epilepsy surgery, and neuromodulation therapy (devices that help control seizures). He also evaluates and manages seizures and syncope (fainting episodes).
