Dr. Soe Moe Aung

Dr. Soe Moe Aung is a specialist interventional cardiologist with over 19 years of clinical and academic experience in diagnosing and managing cardiovascular conditions. He completed his medical degree at Hacettepe University in Turkey and pursued advanced fellowship training in cardiology and interventional cardiology in Istanbul. He has held senior clinical and academic positions across Turkey and Nigeria, building extensive expertise in complex heart procedures and patient care.

Dr. Soe specialises in coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) — a minimally invasive technique to clear blocked arteries — and complex procedures such as left main and bifurcation interventions. He also performs advanced cardiac imaging using intracoronary ultrasound (IVUS) and fractional flow reserve (FFR) measurement, carotid and peripheral vascular interventions, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, stress testing, and pacemaker and defibrillator implantation. He has managed numerous acute coronary syndromes and heart failure cases throughout his career.

Dr. Soe combines evidence-based clinical practice with a patient-centred approach focused on safety and quality outcomes. He remains active in cardiovascular research, having authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications in international medical journals. He holds fellowships from the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), and is well suited for patients requiring advanced coronary interventions, cardiac device management, or complex diagnostic imaging.
